I'm fascinated by people's creative process. When I see something like this short documentary or even someone explaining how they arrived at their final product with a story. Sometimes it can make you feel like you're reading their journal. That they're putting a little more of themselves out there than they might be comfortable with.

You've probably already seen this. I've watched this a few times, outside of it's incredibly inspiring message, it also reminds me why I started designing the in the first place. I wanted to build things that people would use and I wanted those things to be alive on the internet. When I would make something I couldn't wait to share, watch and see how people interact with it and hopefully, to inspire. I was always fascinated with the ability to "publish" something on the internet. Whether it happened to be a simple forum post or just sharing some work in progress design that didn't carry a message to "Shop Now" or "Learn More". To me, that instantaneous publishing felt like I was telling the world, "I exist", this was obviously far before Twitter and Facebook. Fast forward about 12 years, now 90% of my design work encompasses some kind of marketing message, is made to hit some magical number and that's ok. I want more than ok though, I want to get back to building things that inspire.
