I really felt that the concept I wanted to explore was making something that kind of felt futuristic and retro at the same time. Grounding the typography using Avant Garde Gothic was a great way to pull that off. Then it meant figuring out a way to use it throughout the branding and logo. The first logo was to keep the name within a box that felt like it had the ratio of a screen (16:9) and using the type's weight and scales to make it feel like there was depth.
The 2nd option is the idea of having something that explored the idea of empathy and putting your mind outside itself. So using the profile of a person's head with the eye or mind being outside the head was a fun way to explore that. The negative space also creates the face of an owl, a creature known for being wise.
It was also really fun getting back to my roots and being "artsy". Creating a digital illustration showing the distortion of reality and literally changing perspectives.
